Hungary is going to continue the national selection “A Dal” Tonight at 20:15 CET. The rules are the same as last week, and we can tell you again: you can vote from your own country with a normal priced text message to send one contestant to the final!
Hungary is going to start the national selection for Eurovision 2012 tonight. The first semifinal starts on 20:15 CET and can watch all around the world and also all the people in the world can vote! Duna World is aired worldwide, technical details here. Tonight BAYER Friderika will perform her Eurovision entry from 1994 that is the biggest achievement of Hungary in the Contest. 10 semifinalists will compete in the show. A 4-membered jury will send 3 songs, the audience will be the 5th jury member to send one more song to the big final. Today twenty brand new songs were revealed which get the chance to represent Hungary at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. After Hungarian Television MTV and MTVA launched an open call for submissions in December 2011, a professional jury consisting of nine members selected the best songs out of the more than 200 submissions. The channels m1 and Duna World will broadcast live the national semi finals on 28 January and 4 February, and the national final on 11 February 2012 where a total of eight songs will compete.
Hungarian public broadcasters support fund MTVA and Hungarian Television MTV is going to hold a common press conference about Hungarian selection for Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Budapest tomorrow at 11 AM. According to the letter of invitation, more than 200 songs were received to the tender that was started in December. The common decision of the viewers and the jury will determine the one who will be sent to the venue of Eurovision 2012 in May. Good news for the international viewers that m1 and the worldwide broadcasted Duna World both will present the 3 parted shows live.
At the suit of M1 channel’s DTK Show, is created a wonderful Christmas song with this years Hungarian Eurovision representative KATI Wolf, the runner up of Hungarian National Final 2008 SZEKERES Adrien and other two famous Hungarian musician PÉLY Barna and Roy. Hungarian Television will seek for the song representing Hungary at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in a series of live shows. MTVA, the Media Service Support and Asset Management Fund which is integrating the Hungarian public service media and Hungarian Television jointly held a press conference confirming their participation at next year’s Eurovision Song Contest and announced that the submission deadline for songs to compete in the national finals will be the 20th December 2011. |
